Physician engagement is a critical yet often underleveraged driver of hospital throughput and length of stay performance. Physicians frequently view throughput challenges as primarily operational in nature, with limited connection to clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.

This webinar explores real-world physician perspectives on hospital throughput and length of stay and examines the misalignment that can impede organizational progress. Participants will gain practical strategies to engage physicians through clinically relevant, actionable data, clear accountability frameworks and shared ownership across disciplines. Using a multidisciplinary approach, the session highlights how data transparency and physician leadership can better align clinical practice with operational priorities to improve patient flow, quality and overall outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Examine physician perspectives on hospital throughput and length of stay (LOS), including common misconceptions.
  2. Identify common strategies for engaging physicians as active partners in throughput and LOS improvement.
  3. Understand how clinically relevant, actionable data can influence physician behavior and drive sustainable performance change.
